Phenovelnoms - Harry Potter, Pumpkin Pasties, and Butter Beer!Feb 09, 2012 Pumpkin Pasties 1 egg 1/2 c brown sugar 1 15 oz can pumpkin (or 2 cups fresh, roasted in the oven then pressed through a strainer to save your Pumpkin Juice to drink!) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ginger 1 2/3 cups evap. milk (1 can) 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/4 tsp nutmet 4 9 oz pie crust pastry (enough for 4 single standard pie crusts) * Mix all ingredients (except for pie crust) in bowl and microwave for 5 minutes. * Put bowl in freezer to chill for approximately 10-15 min. * Using a drinking glass, cut out circles in the pie crust. and place on cookie sheet. * Put approx 1 tsp on one side and fold over, crimping edges with fork. * Brush tops with egg white and sprinkle brownsugar and cinnamon on top. * Bake for approx 8 minutes (or until brown) Butter beer: 1 1/2 cups milk 2 tbsp honey 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 shot butterscotch schnapps for adults or butterscotch syrup for kids Directions: 1. Melt butter and honey together 2. Add milk, sugar, vanilla, and butterscotch schnapps or butterscotch 3. Microwave or heat on stovetop until warm 4. Mix in cinnamon 5. Serve

He loves them so much he decided to just eat pasties for one month and see what the effects were on his mind, body and bowels. Unable to eat any other foods for those four weeks, the pasties were bought at a variety of pasty shops in the duchy. If there were no large pasties, he had to have two mediums.
